“Art and water in a woman’s eyes”. Urban exhibition of the Enrique Gran Foundation, featuring the creations of Bibi Artioli inspired by the sculptural compositions of Gran, pro Ayitimoun Yo. (22/10/2014)
Passion, altruism, enthusiasm and perseverance are the common denominator in the activity of three women who combine individual purposes in this unique meeting, with a single message: the dissemination through ART of a noble mission of solidarity without filters or intermediaries, help without bureaucracy to the children of Haiti.
On the 15th anniversary of the death of Enrique Gran, the second edition of the urban exhibition around the monument of the brilliant Cantabrian artist, brings us together with the extra meaning that a noble cause brings to any initiative, even more so when there is no commercial background to cloud the message.
On this occasion, the illusion and know-how of three women, brings us together in a meeting promoted by Begoña Merino Gran, in which ART AND WATER, aims to capture the attention of the viewer to enjoy ART with a capital “A” by Enrique Gran through his most intimate works, all made with objects collected from the beaches of Cantabria, probably in some of those we can see from this wonderful place, which have been an inspiring element for Bibi Artioli, Italian designer of jewellery with a single purpose: to transmit the sensitivity of an avant-garde look in the composition of the elements she uses in her creations and specifically those presented in this exhibition, from which we highlight an almost sculptural look that gives rise to works that have as a common denominator the same elements that led Enrique Gran to compose the pieces that we can contemplate in this ephemeral exhibition: the objects loaded with history that the sea drags to our beaches. These jewels, never better said unrepeatable, contain a message of help and awareness about the work of another great woman, Lucia Lantero, whose dharma or existential purpose, brings us together on this anniversary, to take the message of A GRAN WORK that under the name of Ayitimoun brings together effort, will, time and hope in the noblest of missions: the protection of children in the third world.
